IAN Invests In IndiaCollegeSearch
Indian Angel Network has invested undisclosed amount in Gurgaon-based India College Search, startupcentral states. The funds raised will be used to hire talent and grow the company’s presence.
The IAN members who have invested in the startup are Anupam Mittal, Vikram Upadhyaya and Varun Khurana. The company is the first from the IAN incubator to raise funding from the angel investor group.
Founded in 2010 by Parul Bansal and Anirudh Motwani, IndiaCollegeSearch is owned by Am Edumedia Private Limited. It enables students to browse, filter and explore colleges across various locations and based on several different parameters.

Other players in this space include Info Edge owned Shiksha, HT Media owned HTCampus, Indiatimes owned EducationTimes, Sequoia Capital funded formersocial network Minglebox.com, Coolavenues.com, MBAUniverse.com, Accentium owned StudyNation.
Recently, IAN invested in ranking platform for competitive exams – RankJunction; Alma Mater, an online brand for official school and college merchandise.
